• EXPANSION: After the harvest, the grapes are immediately taken to the press house to be sorted and carefully crushed. Following the temperature-controlled fermentation in stainless steel tanks, this Madeira matures for about 3 years in used wooden barrels.

• RATING: This semi-sweet Madeira is 3 years old on average. It shows itself in the glass with a brilliant golden yellow and unfolds an aromatic bouquet, fine notes of cocoa, apples, grapes and walnuts on the palate.

• SERVING RECOMMENDATION : A great aperitif, best served slightly chilled.

Justino's Madeira Wines is one of the oldest companies producing and exporting Madeira Wine. Its beginnings go back to 1870, when the company was still a small private winery. It was not until 1953 that the company was founded in its current form under the name Justino's Madeira Wines. The flower island of Madeira, located in the Atlantic, is characterized by a subtropical climate. Winds that blow the island all year round create a very different climate, the north differs greatly from the south of the island as a mountain range runs through the middle of the island. The island is of volcanic origin, so its soils are heavily influenced by rocks such as basalt and tuff. Most of the arable land consists of steep slopes that can only be used by building terraces with retaining walls, the so-called poios. Small streams and water springs provide the necessary water supply. Madeira wines are highly appreciated by restaurateurs around the world.
