• VINIFICATION: He only uses hand-picked Riesling grapes and finely tuned botanicals such as grapefruit, kumquat or pink pepper berries, which are carefully soaked and distilled in a pot-still process to preserve the aroma. The brandy then enjoys the privilege of aging for four months in barrique barrels that were previously used for the expansion of the Johannisberg Alte Reben Riesling for two years.

• AROMA: Very floral notes of Riesling and spicy aromas of macerated botanicals.

• EVALUATION: The taste is very fresh, light and cool. A slight tint in color due to the maturation in barrique barrels.

Michael Trenz has been the head of the company since 1998. Even more than his ancestors, he is looking for his own way to lead the quality of his wines to the top of the region. "As little as possible, as much as necessary" is his motto, which is a plea for restraint in all artificial interventions in the natural development of wine.
