It is one of the autochthonous grape varieties of Italy, which means that it is native to the South Tyrolean area and has been cultivated there for a long time. However, it does not rule out that this grape variety can also be found in other southern European countries, e.g. B. Greece, Spain, Croatia or Bulgaria can be grown. It grows on very deep, loamy-sandy soils. Due to its slightly fruity aromatic character and its medium-bodied body, it is used as an aperitif and terrace wine, but it is also appreciated as a meal accompaniment. In this case, it has been developed with a natural residual sweetness and, in addition to finger food, also goes well with poultry terrines and blue cheese. Fragrant aromas of ripe grapes, fine nutmeg and rose tones give it its very own taste profile and give it its independence and intensity.
