Historic St. Pauls nestles in the middle of the Überetsch vineyards, which are protected from sunny days and cool nights and even reach into the village. It belongs to the municipality of Eppan and is located west of Bozen in South Tyrol. Everywhere here - regardless of whether in the village locations or the higher-lying wineries - the vines thrive in the protection of the Alps in extremely fertile soil. Incidentally, the Rhaetians and Romans already recognized the favorable climatic conditions and the excellent soil conditions of this landscape and practiced viticulture here. The winegrowing families of the St. Pauls winery cultivate their vineyards with the greatest care and largely by hand - 185 hectares of the best locations in one of the most beautiful wine-growing regions in South Tyrol. In 1907, the joy of wine and the dedication to viticulture prompted thirty-six farmers from St. Pauls, Missian, Eppan Berg and Unterrain to take a joint step towards the future: they founded the St. Pauls wine cooperative. The grapes from special plots and sites form the basis of the selections. Strict selection and careful development in the cellar result in special wines that are characterized by their typical variety, elegance and precise style. The St. Pauls Lagrein is a powerful red wine with very harmoniously integrated tannins. He impresses with his dark red robe in a substantial body. Characterized by blackberries, forest fruits and plums, a subtle mocha tone and a fine scent of violets join in... a real dream for a strong, balanced red wine!
