STORY: Each Justino glass of Madeira contains centuries of ancestral knowledge, the know-how of past generations, the history and experience of people, families and human difficulties in the Pearl of the Atlantic, complemented by its rugged but beautiful landscape, which is its most striking feature.
-
EXPANSION: After the harvest, the grapes are immediately taken to the press house to be sorted and carefully crushed. Temperature-controlled fermentation takes place in stainless steel tanks.
-
EVALUATION: This white wine cuvée from the south of Portugal, made from the grapes from the single vineyard Porto Franco, shows itself in the glass as a light golden yellow. Pleasant bouquet with fruity and mineral notes; also fruity on the palate, pleasantly fresh and full-bodied, soft.
-
SERVING SUGGESTIONS : Well chilled, an appetizing aperitif. Also excellent as an accompaniment to seafood dishes, stewed fish, white meat, Mediterranean salads, cream cheese, goat cheese and petiscos (Portuguese tapas).

DFJ Vinhos was founded in Portugal in 1897. And even today, much of the fruit used for DFJ wines grows on the 200-hectare vineyard, which historians call one of the oldest in the nation. Its origins probably go back to before the founding of Portugal. The winery is located in Valada on the Río Tajo. Chief winemaker is José Neiva Correia, one of Portugal's most well-known oenologists with a long winemaking tradition in the family, and his maternal and paternal ancestors were also active in viticulture. He creates wines with creativity and enthusiasm and does not shy away from innovations: Correias is responsible for introducing new grape varieties in Portugal and also has a patent for a method of closing wine bottles in which the cork is disinfected with ozone. In addition, his broad repertoire not only includes wines from grapes from large locations with very low yields, but also wines that are easy to sell and unerringly meet the taste of the international wine market.
