  • STORY: Each glass of Justino's Madeira contains centuries of ancestral knowledge, the know-how of past generations, the history and experience of people, families and human difficulties in the Pearl of the Atlantic, complemented by its rugged but beautiful landscape, which is its most striking feature.

  • VINIFICATION: After the harvest, the grapes are immediately taken to the press house to be sorted and carefully crushed. Following the temperature-controlled mash fermentation in stainless steel tanks, the wine matures in stainless steel tanks for a few months.

  • JUDGEMENT: Green-yellow citrus color in the glass, clear and light. Balanced nose with notes of grapefruit and other tropical fruits, stone fruit joins later. Voluminous and fresh at the same time on the palate, mineral notes, pleasant finish.

  • SERVING SUGGESTIONS : Stimulating aperitif, excellent with fish and seafood, dishes with white meat and poultry as well as with Asian cuisine.

  • SERVING TEMPERATURE: 10-12 °C

Justino's Madeira Wines is one of the oldest companies producing and exporting Madeira Wine. Its beginnings go back to 1870, when the company was still a small private winery. It was not until 1953 that the company was founded in its current form under the name Justino's Madeira Wines. The flower island of Madeira, located in the Atlantic, is characterized by a subtropical climate. Winds that blow the island all year round create a very different climate, the north differs greatly from the south of the island as a mountain range runs through the middle of the island. The island is of volcanic origin, so its soils are heavily influenced by rocks such as basalt and tuff. Most of the arable land consists of steep slopes that can only be used by building terraces with retaining walls, the so-called poios. Small streams and water springs provide the necessary water supply. Madeira wines are highly appreciated by restaurateurs around the world.
