STORY: Miguel Torres not only stands for the best wines in Spain, but also for sustainability and climate protection. Between 2008 and 2020, he reduced the carbon emissions of each bottle of wine by 30% and founded the International Wineries for Climate Action group with other major wineries.
-
VINIFICATION: After the harvest, the grapes are immediately taken to the press house to be sorted and carefully crushed. Following temperature-controlled fermentation in stainless steel tanks, the wine ages on the fine lees for a few months before the alcohol is carefully removed.
-
RATING: This dark, shiny, cherry-red wine has an exquisite, aromatic, fruity bouquet of juicy, ripe raspberries and quince jelly, underlaid with only very delicate hints of French oak (such as freshly toasted bread, vanilla). Velvety soft on the palate, juicy and harmoniously balanced with the fine fruit of the bouquet and a hint of sweetness in the finale.
-
SERVING RECOMMENDATION: Goes well with hearty dishes and savory cheeses.

SERVING TEMPERATURE: 16-18° C
The Torres family is one of the most important names in viticulture in Spain. In the mid-1960s, Miguel A. Torres brought state-of-the-art cellar technology to the Torres halls and planted both French and German grape varieties in Spain. Valuable stainless steel tanks, temperature-controlled fermentation and natural grape varieties such as Cabernet Sauvignon, Chardonnay, Merlot as well as Riesling and Gewürztraminer find their way into the winery and into the Spanish wine world through Miguel A. Torres. Torres is one of the first in Spain to start training the vines, while most Spanish winemakers at the time were still growing their vines in bush form. The pioneering spirit pays off. Critics and connoisseurs are enthusiastic. Gradually, the company expanded into other prestigious regions of Spain and today also produces top wines in Chile and California. Undoubtedly one of the most deserving members is Miguel A. Torres. He is an avant-garde of modern viticulture and works tirelessly to keep the company's carbon footprint as small as possible.
