STORY: Torres Reserva Real was created after the Spanish King Juan Carlos visited a winery in 1995 and is now considered one of the best wines in Spain - even if the royal blend marries the three classic red Bordeaux grapes Cabernet Sauvignon, Merlot and Cabernet Franc.

VINIFICATION: All grapes were sorted as soon as they were received at the sorting tables and first macerated to concentrate the first color pigments and aromas from the berry skins before the seven-day fermentation at temperatures of around 28 °C started.

ASSESSMENT: full-bodied on the palate, very elegant and harmonious with a fine balance of concentrated ripe fruit (blackberries, black currants), spicy hints of liquorice, smoke and mineral notes, the oak is gently integrated, the tannins are silky, the fruit is juicy with good acidity, the finale is velvety and long with a spicy-fruity aftertaste of red fruit compote, mocha, cloves and pepper

SERVING RECOMMENDATION: grilled rack of lamb, braised lamb shoulder, roast veal with potatoes and mushrooms, rabbit (roast and ragout) or meatless with couscous with oriental spiced vegetables (paprika, pumpkin, zucchini, tomato)
