VINIFICATION: The harvest for Mas de la Rosa began on October 16th and 17th, 2016. In their small single vineyard near Porrero, Garnacha tinta and Cariñena were carefully picked by hand when they were optimally ripe and immediately brought to the winery to cellar master Jordi Foraster. Foraster allowed the grapes to ferment on the skins for eleven days at a controlled temperature of around 26 °C in stainless steel tanks, supported by a deliberately gentle and slow extraction in order to preserve the authentic, expressive character of origin of the grapes for the wine as well.

AROMA: Elegant floral aromas in the bouquet, dark fruit, fine spice and mineral notes, underlined with only delicate hints of new French oak
ASSESSMENT: medium-bodied on the palate with an impressive balance of lush, very fine-grained tannins, restrained, fully integrated oak, lively acidity and expressive terroir and grape variety aromas (red fruits, mineral, spicy and floral hints), highly elegant, harmonious, long,
SERVING RECOMMENDATION: with game dishes, braised lamb or beef, roast rabbit, aubergine tartare, lentil terrine, forest mushrooms, medium-aged cheese or alone as a meditation wine, to enjoy the sacred silence of its origins alone...
