STORY: Markus Schneider has made a very special mark on the wine scene with his Rosé Saigner. He presses this popular rosé from the grapes from his best plots. Produced in the classic Saigner process, part of the released fruit juice is extracted from the grapes after storage in the fermentation fermenter through large sieves. This creates a completely natural concentration of the remaining grapes and produces a pink rosé without any pressing.
- VINIFICATION: Harvest of ripe and healthy grapes, stored in the red wine - Vermenter with subsequent juice extraction (Saigner = bleeding out) of approx. 20-30%, then without external intervention (fining or similar) Controlled fermentation in perennial wooden barrels and in steel tanks.

"There was no life before wine". The quote from Markus Schneider sums up how much the winemaker is connected to the subject of wine. That doesn't seem surprising at first, after all the winemaker grew up in Ellerstadt, a small community where vineyard after vineyard and winery after winery line up. And yet Markus Schneider has built up something very special here. A winery that he founded in 1994 with just one hectare and has since expanded into an international brand. Today he cultivates around 92 hectares of vineyards - his wines are part of the portfolio of top international restaurants and hotels, the best airlines and cruise fleets in the world. And with his Rosé Saigner he has also made a very special mark on the wine scene. Markus Schneider presses this popular rosé from the grapes from his best red wine plots, which are characterized by gravel, pebbles and limestone. Produced in the classic Saigner process, part of the released fruit juice is extracted from the grapes after storage in the fermentation fermenter using large sieves. This creates a completely natural concentration of the remaining grapes and produces a "pink rosé" without any pressing. The result is a fabulously fruity, dry rosé wine with a pale red colour. It has structure and character and spoils with a Mediterranean flair. In terms of taste, fine blackberry, strawberry and cassis aromas meet. Paired with a fresh fruit acid, it appears lively and full of tension. A rosé that will really be remembered.
