Since 1994, Markus Schneider has been a true wine pioneer at the top of German winegrowers. He tirelessly expanded a vineyard with an area of one hectare in the municipality of Ellerstadt between Ludwigshafen and Bad Dürkheim in the Palatinate to 92 hectares of vineyards. At first he took over the land from his father, who had grown orchards and vines and sold the fruit for further processing. After training at the renowned winery Dr. Bürklin Wolff, which is one of the flagships of the Palatinate along with the Bassermann Jordan winery and Reichsrat von Buhl, he took matters into his own hands. The winery has been expanded into an international brand and is not only listed in many top restaurants and hotels, but is also part of the permanent portfolio of the best airlines and cruise fleets in the world. The Markus Schneider De Cutter Chenin Blanc is the result of a winemaker friendship between Markus Schneider and Danie Steytler from the Kaapzicht winery in Stellenbosch and is limited to 3679 bottles.
