• STORY: Founded by Konrad Hengstler's family in the late 1990s, Konrad Wines produces premium wines under the aegis of winemaker Duncan Shouler. The vineyards are located in the well-known growing region of Marlborough.

• AROMA: Aromas of cherries, cranberries and plums, spicy, floral notes and hints of clove and vanilla.

• RATING: Flavors concentrated on the palate, woven into a lush texture. A classic and elegant Cool Climate Pinot.

The vineyards are located in the well-known growing region of Marlborough. The area has the longest sunshine duration of all growing areas in New Zealand. A glacier left a gigantic furrow behind in the Ice Age. This resulted in a clay-limestone soil that is ideal for viticulture. Many boulders remained in the bottom of the valley. They reflect the sun's warmth directly onto the ripening grapes. The stones are still warm for an hour after sunset, giving the grapes a little extra ripening time each day before the cold air from the Pacific penetrates the valley via Cloudy Bay.
