• STORY: The Weingut Kloster Eberbach has an unparalleled vineyard estate with a worldwide reputation in the Rheingau and on the Hessian Bergstrasse and produces around 2.3 million bottles of wine and sparkling wine per year.

• RATING: The light-footed Sparkling Riesling non-alcoholic  glides into the glass with brilliant colour. Classic Riesling aromas of yellow stone fruit and juicy citrus fruits on the nose and on the palate, underlined with a hint of sweet cream and vanilla. Harmoniously balanced with a pleasantly fresh acidity and a nice length in the final.

Winegrowing has been practiced in Eberbach Abbey for over 900 years. Founded in the Middle Ages by the Cistercians from Clairvaux, the monastery quickly became the most successful abbey of the order on the right bank of the Rhine. The history of the monastery is long and every era has left its mark: Peasant Wars, the Thirty Years' War, Napoleon and the tragedies of the 20th century. The monastery has been owned by the state of Hesse since 1945, which has been cultivating the monastery's own vineyards and domains along the most beautiful terroirs from the Hessian Bergstrasse to Assmannshausen. The winery belongs to the Association of German Prädikat and Quality Wineries.
