The Julius Zotz winery was founded in 1865 in Heitersheim in the Markgräflerland region of Baden-Württemberg and has grown into one of the largest family wineries in Germany. The Markgräflerland is located in Baden in the extreme southwest of Germany, bordering France to the west and Switzerland to the south. "The commitment to top-class quality" was and remains the philosophy of the winery, which is consistently implemented in environmentally friendly winegrowing and pressing. The current operators Martin and Michael Zotz optimally harmonize tradition and modernity, so that Zotz wines regularly receive numerous national and international awards. With around 95 hectares of vineyards, the winery is one of the largest private wineries in Germany.
