STORY: The family winery is committed to dealing with nature and the environment in a sustainable manner. Since the 2022 vintage, all wines and sparkling wines have been 100% vegan.

EXPANSION: After the early harvest, the Pinot Blanc grapes are gently pressed. After 6 months of aging in the barrel, the alcohol is very gently removed from the base wine by means of vacuum distillation. Aromas typical of the grape variety, clarity and freshness are retained.

RATING: Fine notes of citrus fruits, peach and some nutmeg. Lively, refreshing with a fine play of acidity and delicate perlage on the palate.

SERVING RECOMMENDATION : Wonderful as an aperitif, with a cold buffet, with light vegetable dishes and with fish and seafood.

The Julius Zotz winery was founded in 1865 in Heitersheim in the Markgräflerland region of Baden-Württemberg and has grown into one of the largest family wineries in Germany. The Markgräflerland is located in Baden in the extreme southwest of Germany, bordering France to the west and Switzerland to the south. "The commitment to top-class quality" was and remains the philosophy of the winery, which is consistently implemented in environmentally friendly winegrowing and pressing. Today's operators Martin and Michael Zotz optimally harmonize tradition and modernity, so that Zotz wines regularly receive numerous national and international awards. With around 95 hectares of vineyards, the winery is one of the largest private wineries in Germany.
