The Ambs family knows how to genuinely reflect the unique viticulture conditions of the Kaiserstuhl in their wines. Andreas Ambs stands for a new vintage of dynamic winemakers who want to give Baden wine a young and radiant face. With the aim of developing expressive Burgundy wines with their own identity and expression, according to father Josef Ambs, “the most delicious form of solar energy” is created with a wink. The fertile loess and clay soils in harmony with the particularly sunny microclimate of the Baden Kaiserstuhl form the basis for excellent grape quality, which is also reflected in the quality of the wines. The gentle pressing and the temperature-controlled fermentation of the grapes combined with long fine yeast storage result in full-bodied, straightforward wines of graceful elegance and a beautiful length.
