STORY: The Ambs family knows how to reflect the unique viticulture conditions of the Kaiserstuhl in an authentic way in their wines. Andreas Ambs stands for a new vintage of dynamic winemakers who want to give Baden wine a young and radiant face
-
VINIFICATION: 15% of the grapes were fermented on the mash, resulting in the special, slightly bronze-like colouring, 85% were gently pressed immediately after the harvest and fermented in steel tanks at controlled temperatures, followed by aging for 6 months on the fine lees in large wooden barrels.
AROMA: A slight bronze tint in the glass due to the maceration time of the grapes. In the bouquet notes of pear, dried fruit, pineapple and citrus fruits.
RATING: Full-bodied and aromatically fresh on the palate with a light note of butter. The wine gets its fresh character from a slight acidity. In the finale very elegant and structured with a pleasant length.

The Ambs family knows how to genuinely reflect the unique viticulture conditions of the Kaiserstuhl in their wines. Andreas Ambs stands for a new vintage of dynamic winegrowers who want to give Baden wine a young and radiant face. With the aim of developing expressive Burgundy wines with their own identity and expression, according to father Josef Ambs, “the most delicious form of solar energy” is created with a wink. The fertile loess and clay soils in harmony with the particularly sunny microclimate of the Baden Kaiserstuhl form the basis for excellent grape quality, which is also reflected in the quality of the wines. The gentle pressing and the temperature-controlled fermentation of the grapes combined with long fine yeast storage result in full-bodied, straightforward wines of graceful elegance and a beautiful length.
