The traditional house González Byass from Jerez, Cádiz is world famous for its sherries. It was founded in 1835 by Manuel María González at the time of the great sherry boom. Initially conceived purely as a trading company, it soon also produced its own wines. The winery quickly became so successful that González made his British sales representative Robert Blake Byass his business partner in 1855, laying the foundation for González Byass, the world's largest sherry producer today. Today, González Byass has vineyards in the best locations in Jerez (also Jerez Superior), where the classic sherry varieties Palomino and Pedro Ximénez grow. Together with the legacy of 170 years of winegrowing experience and the excellent winegrower and winery team, the name González Byass is a guarantee for the finest sherry quality all over the world.
