When the three meet, their vision is set pretty quickly: to create a unique rosé that perfectly embodies the laid-back lifestyle of the Hamptons and southern France. Gérard has his father Georges to thank for his passion for wine and rugby. In his early youth he was introduced to the art of winemaking in the Villemajou cellar. He started playing at Narbonne rugby club at the age of 12 and, like Georges, became a rugby ace. After a successful career in professional rugby, he resolutely returned to the winery with old values: maximum commitment to top performance, fair play and respect for people and the environment. Today, Gérard Bertrand is a passionate winemaker, for whom biodynamic agriculture plays a pioneering role. Gérard Bertrand relies on biodynamic agriculture. For its innovative strength and outstanding commitment to sustainability, it was one of only 24 wineries in the world to be awarded the “Green Emblem” by Robert Parker. He sets an important example and is a true role model in the wine world.
