They are his two great passions: "Winemaking and filmmaking are two great art forms," ​​he says himself. Over the past few decades, Coppola has released a number of very successful wines in collaboration with his distinguished oenologist and wine strategist, Corey Beck. In 1975, Francis Ford Coppola acquired part of the formerly world-famous Inglenook Estate in Napa Valley, which had been founded by Finnish Captain Niebaum 100 years earlier. His first wine was made in a barn on the property. Coppola led the manorial residence to new fame within a few years. In 2010 he created a "wine wonderland" in Geyersville with Academy Award winner and production designer Dean Tavoularis. The winery resembles a theme park, inspired by the magical Tivoli Gardens in Copenhagen. Visitors should experience much more than first-class wine here. There is a lot to discover: a bar, two restaurants, two pools, a cinema, a film gallery, boules courts and an art pavilion. Of course, film relics should not be missing. If you have enough time, you will find the godfather's desk, the Tucker car from 1948 from the film of the same name, various film scripts and golden Oscar trophies. Somewhere in between is of course the winery. The Francis Ford Coppola Winery has twice been named "Winery of the Year" by the International Wine and Spirits Competition and the San Francisco International Wine Competition.
