• STORY: The Vinicola Decordi winery has its origins in an old family tavern in Cremona (a city with a famous violin-making tradition), where Qurico Decordi was the first to serve his own house wine with traditional Italian cuisine.

• INGREDIENTS: The fruity, fresh Fragolino Rosso from an assemblage of various Vitis Vinifera grape varieties approved for winemaking, must, sugar and strawberry aromas.

• AROMA: Aromas of strawberries, blackberries and blueberries with hints of white chocolate.

• EVALUATION: Fruity and mild on the palate with aromas of ripe strawberries and a wonderfully smooth finish. The loving pressing gives the Fragolino Rosso an incomparably fruity and sparkling character.

• SERVING RECOMMENDATION: Best served very well chilled at 5 - 7°C as an aperitif, with desserts or pastries.

The Vinicola Decordi winery has its origins in an old family tavern in Cremona (a city with a famous violin-making tradition), where Qurico Decordi was the first to serve his own house wine with traditional Italian cuisine. It all started with our own small barrels of red wine from Fortana, Ancelotta and Lambrusco for the guests of the house. The mere sale of the wine turned into a fascination and curiosity for wine production. The next generations of the family dedicated themselves to this in the decades that followed. Today the family exports wine to a large number of countries as far east as the Far East. In the meantime, the DECORDI brand has developed into a tasty promise of quality. A specialty from DECORDI is the Fragolino Rosso 'Valle Calda'. A Frizzante traditionally made from 100% Fragola grapes. This has an intense strawberry aroma, but is not approved for winemaking as Vitis Labrusca. Furthermore, this vine was also said to have an intoxicating effect, another reason why the traditional Fragolino made from the Fragola grape no longer exists. Therefore, this Fragolino consists of an assemblage of different Vitis Vinifera grape varieties approved for winemaking and is complemented by fruity strawberry aromas and a pleasant liveliness.
