The Pugibet family has been cultivating wine since 1890. The Domaine La Colombette winery is located in southern France. Instead of accepting subsidies and operating for volume, François Pugibet, the current owner, chose to focus on quality. Eager to experiment, he planted atypical grape varieties for the Languedoc, such as Grenache, Syrah, Chardonnay and Sauvignon Blanc. The success speaks for itself. La Colombette has already twice won the "Chardonnays of the World" competition, with even well-known wineries from Burgundy losing out. The estate is constantly being expanded with new vineyards. Particular attention is paid to the development of resistant grape varieties in order to make the use of copper and sulfur in the vineyard superfluous, thus facilitating the cultivation of organic wines.
