STORY: The Doppio Passo Brindisi DOC Riserva goes even further in terms of expressiveness and intensity. Only the very best grapes make their way into this fabulous Riserva, which is produced in southern Italy using the centuries-old process of double fermentation on the skins (Italian: ripassare).
-
AGEING: Aging takes place in steel tanks for 12 months. This is followed by a 12-month aging in large oak barrels.
-
AROMA: intense ruby red colour; soft and intense bouquet of red fruits with a very distinctive note of plums, combined with pleasant aromas of coconut and vanilla.
-
EVALUATION: Round on the palate and rich in fine tannins. Long-lasting and harmonious finish.
-
SERVING RECOMMENDATION: Goes very well with lamb with its strong, typical taste - whether grilled, braised or roasted. Regional, slightly sweet and spicy dishes from Apulia and strong cheese are also wonderfully accompanied by this Riserva with its fine fruit sweetness. Also cuts a fine figure with apricots or raisins as an oriental element, as the wine has few bitter tannins. Bon appetit!
The Doppio Passo Brindisi DOC Riserva goes even further in terms of expressiveness and intensity. Only the very best grapes make their way into this fabulous Riserva, which is produced in southern Italy using the centuries-old process of double fermentation on the skins (Italian: ripassare). The result is a soft, full-bodied and exceptionally aromatic red wine that smells of plums, red fruits (such as blackberries and cherries) and vanilla and goes well with spicy meat dishes. Due to its fine fruity sweetness, Doppio Passo Riserva is also an ideal accompaniment to strong cheeses. A masterfully pressed poem at a sensational price!
