For more than 300 years, the Beraut family has lived and worked from viticulture in Montreal du-Gers. With a lot of diligence and considerable skill, the brothers Martin and Mathieu produce vintage after vintage in their vineyards, which are both first-class and inexpensive country wines. Their vines play a crucial role in this. They produce grapes of the Colombard, Ugni blanc, Chardonnay and Sauvignon Blanc varieties, which are extremely healthy and have a concentrated aroma, from which the white wine of the estate is made. Less than two kilometers away is the Gallo-Roman archaeological site of Seviac, which, with its mosaics, bears witness to a 2000-year-old wine-growing tradition. The vineyards of the Bérauts extend around the legendary Château de Pellehaut, whose name is derived from the Roman word "pila" and referred to a particularly powerful spear. The brothers Martin and Mathieu also have this power. With the Fönals blowing down from the Pyrenees, allies, iron will and an armada of sunshine, they have managed to spearhead the most popular Gascony wines.
