STORY: Since 2001, Alain Moueix has been in charge of the fourth generation of the family business, which his great-grandparents bought in 1931. Wine has always been produced at Château Fonroque in Saint Emilion

AGING: The gentle, alcoholic fermentation takes place over a period of 3-4 weeks under strictly controlled temperatures. A second, malolactic fermentation in French oak barrels is carried out for approximately 16 months in a climatically controlled warehouse.

AROMA: Aromas of red fruits and mineral notes, hints of wood and spices.

EVALUATION: Pleasantly soft on the palate, with fantastic full-bodiedness and an appealing tannin structure. Elegant finish with a lingering aftertaste of fruit and wood.

SERVING RECOMMENDATION: The wine is recommended with red meat, game or fine, hard French cheese. Recommended serving temperature 18°C.
