STORY: Three quarters of the Château de Beaucastel vineyards are located in the world-famous AOC Châteauneuf-du-Pape. It is not without reason that the reputation of this exceptional location precedes it: the terroir is shaped by the influence of the Rhône, which millions of years ago washed fragments of the Alps into the plain as a torrent and thus created the characteristic pebble stone soils. With low rainfall, intense sunshine and large temperature differences, the microclimate also plays an important role. This is where the pebbles make their contribution to the success of each vintage: they store heat during the day and release it to the vines at night. The Château de Beaucastel reflects this terroir impressively, with authentic and extremely long-lived wines.
