STORY: The family-run winery Château Bel Air Perponcher, located in the Entre-deux-Mers area and a stone's throw from St. Emilion, cultivates 55 hectares. The Despagne family of winegrowers proudly points to a wine-growing culture that has lasted for more than 250 years.
-
AGEING: After the harvest, the grapes are pressed slowly and carefully at a low temperature. The fermentation takes place in steel tanks at 28°C and lasts about 10-20 days. 80% of the wine is refined in stainless steel tanks, while 20% undergoes malolactic fermentation in new French oak barrels.
-
AROMA: Notes of ripe currants and cherries.
-
RATING: Due to the high proportion of Merlot, the wine is particularly soft, hearty, full-bodied, round and balanced with a long finish.
-
SERVING RECOMMENDATION: A great accompaniment to grilled meat and spicy cheese. Drinking temperature 18°C.
