STORY: No empty promise, but a living credo! With the first planting of Sauvignon Blanc in Marlborough in 1975, Brancott Estate paved the way to today's success. The uniquely fragrant variety of aromas with a crisp, mineral structure now stands for one of the most popular wine styles worldwide. As a novelty, Sauvignon Gris, an almost forgotten grape variety, is the focus and, alongside Sauvignon Blanc and Pinot Noir, consolidates the perception of Brancott Estate as a premium winery.

AGEING: Aging in steel tanks
-
AROMA: aromas of pear, grapefruit, honey and melon
-
RATING: Intense aromas of tropical fruits on the nose, including passion fruit and mango. Ripe gooseberries paired with fresh acidity and some grapefruit on the palate. Delicate extract sweetness, which is also reflected on the palate and wonderfully combined with the citrus fruit. In addition, a light exotic touch of honeydew melon. Perceptible minerality in the long finish.

SERVING RECOMMENDATION: Pasta with spinach and scampi, light dishes, Königsberger Klopse
Behind every pioneer is an inspiring, exciting and multi-faceted story. The von Brancott Estate began in the Marlborough region of New Zealand's South Island in the early 1970s. It was the first winery to cultivate the Sauvignon Blanc grape variety, which nobody thought was suitable for this. Brancott Estate followed his instincts, believed in his vision, listened to his heart and received gold at the New Zealand Easter Show for the first vintage. Since then, time has not stood still on Brancott. Convinced that Sauvignon Blanc and Pinot Noir are the best varietals for Marlborough's terroir, they remain at the heart of the estate. But rather than resting on the laurels of countless medals and awards, the Brancott Estate is still pioneering in planting new varietals, demonstrating the wine region's full potential.
