Behind every pioneer is an inspiring, exciting and multi-faceted story. The von Brancott Estate began in the Marlborough region of New Zealand's South Island in the early 1970s. It was the first winery to cultivate the Sauvignon Blanc grape variety, which nobody thought was suitable for this. Brancott Estate followed his instincts, believed in his vision, listened to his heart and received gold at the New Zealand Easter Show for the first vintage. Since then, time has not stood still on Brancott. Convinced that Sauvignon Blanc and Pinot Noir are the best varietals for Marlborough's terroir, they remain at the heart of the estate. But rather than resting on the laurels of countless medals and awards, the Brancott Estate is still pioneering in planting new varietals, demonstrating the wine region's full potential.
