STORY: The Villar family with their Muruve winery is one of the pioneers of the modern development of today's DO Toro in the central Spanish highlands. She owns 120 hectares of vineyards there, which are planted almost exclusively with Tinta de Toro, the regional clone of Tempranillo. The climate is continental, with hot, dry summers and significant cooling at night. The wines are complex, velvety, of a very modern character and accompanied by the aroma of black berries. The expansion takes place mainly in American barriques.
