STORY: Andreas and Alexandra-Isabell Diehl are living their dream of traditional winegrowing. The winemaker couple are true Palatinate happy people and this is also reflected in their wines.
-
VINIFICATION: After the selective harvest, the grapes are gently pressed and fermented in temperature-controlled stainless steel tanks. Matured deliberately without the use of wood, this drop is full of fruit and refreshing liveliness.
AROMA: The three different grape varieties in the cuvée result in a wine with an appealing density, complex, fresh fruit and a slight sparkle.
RATING: Aromas of honeydew melon and almonds with a very stimulating freshness on the palate.
SERVING RECOMMENDATION: Ideal as an aperitif
Located in the beautiful southern Palatinate, the Diehls concentrate primarily on the production of single-variety wines from classic Palatinate grape varieties, which always bear the signature of the local terroir. Complicated wines or styled techno wines are not her thing, but the goal is appealing, fruity and easy-to-drink wines. The wine press house is state-of-the-art; an old property from 1821 was converted for this purpose. The varietal purity practiced by A. Diehl was reflected in a new categorization of the wines: "one to one" stands for a harmonious relationship between the grape variety and its development. Andreas Diehl presents an exciting extension of his principle of varietal purity with the "three to one" Aroma Cuvée, in which Muskateller, Riesling and Scheurebe develop harmoniously to new heights. "For our "three to one" wine, it is crucial to adopt your own individual wine style and to constantly perfect it. Because that's the only way your own creation can unmistakably come into its own."
