STORY: An exceptionally elegant Veltliner: The nose is dense and spicy with a fine, almost smoky mineral tone and yellow, exotic fruits as well as hints of apricots. On the palate it has a lot of fruit rich in extracts, dense and juicy, full-bodied with a radiant play of fruit and acid and mineral spice. Despite its density and structure, it seems very finely woven and lingers for a very long time.

The Gaisberg is located directly behind the winery and is the south-eastern foothills of the Manhartsberg. From this point eastwards and southwards there are absolutely different geological and climatic conditions. In the eastern part of the Gaisberg, the Grüner Veltliner is predominantly represented due to the higher loess deposits. Fifteen hectares of the best traditional Strasser vineyards, which also include the Gaisberg, are now under vines, in the classic regional mixture of Grüner Veltliner and Riesling. Eichinger has worked his way up to the top of Austria in just a few years and has delighted critics. Her success stems, among other things, from the fact that she knows brilliantly how to assign the individual varieties to the optimal location. She elicits extremely multifaceted wines from the different terroirs in the Strassertal. This is done with great care, state-of-the-art technical equipment and a lot of skill.
