STORY: The Roux family acquired the Château du Trignon in 1896 and has since transformed it over 5 generations from a traditional, agriculturally diversified estate into a high-quality, wine-oriented domaine with properties in the Gigondas, Rasteau, Sablet and Côtes du Rhône regions
-
VINIFICATION: After the grapes have been carefully harvested, they are almost completely separated from the strands and placed in concrete tanks. In the tanks, the must undergoes a first fermentation at controlled temperatures. A second, malolactic fermentation takes place for 4-6 days at 25°C before the wine ages in stainless steel storage tanks for a further 18 months.
-
AROMA: Notes of ripe dark berries and spices.
-
EVALUATION: On the palate, the complex aromas are complemented by a fine smoothness that ends in a long-lasting, finesse-rich finish.
-
SERVING RECOMMENDATION: An excellent accompaniment to beef, game dishes or spicy cheese platters. Recommended drinking temperature 16-18°C.
