Armagnac is another form of the famous French brandy, produced in the region of the same name in south-west France. Unlike cognac, armagnac is made from a wider variety of grapes, including the white varieties Ugni Blanc, Colombard, and Folle Blanche, and the red varieties Baco, Colombard, and Folle Blanche Noir. This variety of grapes gives Armagnac a wider range of aromas and flavors, from sweet fruits to tangy spices.
